Finally, a religious text I can really get behind. The lolcat Bible Translation Project, a project dedicated to translating the entire Bible into lolspeak started in July of 2007 and they most of the Bible translated.

It makes at least as much sense as the original Bible, and at least this one admits to being made up silliness.

A 2010 Slamdance Featured Film, The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu looks like it blends slapstick humor and just enough silliness to make this look like a really fun movie.

The website summarizes the plot thusly:

Jeff, a down on his luck office worker finds out he is the last living relative of horror novelist H.P. Lovecraft. What he doesn’t know is that Lovecraft’s monsters are real and will soon threaten the very existence of mankind. Jeff and his best friend Charlie are forced to embark on a perilous adventure and they enlist the help of high school acquaintance, Paul, a self proclaimed Lovecraft specialist. Together the three unlikely heroes must protect an alien relic and prevent the release of an acient evil, known as Cthulhu.

So far, the reviews have been great, with kudos to the humor and competent creature effects. YouTube reviews have been mixed, but that’s mostly because YouTube commenters are a bunch of douchebags.

Seriously – this might not be one for the purists , but purists need to get a life and understand that adaptation and evolution are as important as the original story, and introduce new fans to the classics.

The official Muppet Studio channel on YouTube is always good for a smile, but they brought the snark on this one. In this video, hippie Beaker performs “Dust in the Wind” by Kansas while dodging bitchy YouTube commenter overlays.

I won’t lie – one of my favorite parts is that at the end, it sounds like statler and waldorf are saying “dick button.” It makes me laugh every time, because I am a 12 year old boy.

The Internet is black box with a blinking red light on top that Roy and Moss have given Jen, who knows absolutely nothing about computers, in the hopes of embarrassing her in front of her peers during her speech.

Naturally, as happens too often in real-life, the rest of her peers are complete knobs and have no idea what the Internet is either, so they are quite impressed by The Internet, and Roy and Moss are hoist by their own petard. (I’m not doing this episode justice at all. The only thing worse than trying to summarize a British comedy in text is an American trying to summarize a British comedy in text.)
